Dear Riana,
Hi! How are you? We have not met each other for a long time. I
really miss you.
Though I look forward to the festival season, I feel a tinge of
sadness. Because you are not with me. Our childhood was the warmest. Remember
how we first met at the canteen and then got to know each other? As buddies, we
counted on each other for everything. We shared lunches, clothes, joy, and even
grief. And remember how we studied in the fast food restaurant, spotting
questions and sharing answers?
Of course, we had our share of quarrels. Why did we let matters like
boyfriends come between us? Remember how we both felt head over heels in love
with OSIS perfect? However, we soon made up when we realized that neither of us
meant anything to our high and mighty hero.
Well, that’s all nice experience that I will never forget forever.
Cheers,
Nadia

Dear Winda,
How was your long holiday? Did you experience something
unforgettable? I did. Here is the story.
Last week, my friend and I were bored after three weeks of holidays,
so we rode our bikes to Smith
Beach . We were surprised
to see there was hardly anyone there.
After having a quick dip in the ocean, which was really cold, we
realised one reason there were not many people there. It was also quite windy.
After we bought ourselves some hot chips at the take away store
nearby, we rode our bikes down the beach for a while, on the hard, damp part of
the sand. We had the wind behind us and before we know it, we were many miles
down the beach.
Before we mae the long trip back we decided to paddle our feet in
the water for a while, and then sit down for a rest. While we were sitting on
the beach, just chatting, it suddenly dawned on us both that all the way back
we would be riding into the strong wind.
When we finwlly made it back home, we were both totally exhausted.
But we learned some good lessond that day!
That’s my experience. I’m looking forward to hearing you soon

it has everything the visitor might want picturesque scenery (it is overlooked
by Mam Tor), a ruined Norman castle, show caves, interesting geology (such as Winnats Pass ), good walks and a pretty village.

you must be prepared to jostle with the crowds!
Winnats the village is centred around a square in which the church
lies – this is just off the main road and directly beneath Peveril Castle on
the hill behind. The castle was built in 1080 as a wooden building and rebuilt
in stone around 1175 and the church was begun about the same time. It has a
fine Norman arch across the Nave, which was
constructed from 1190 to 1250. The tower was added in 1450 – 1500 and more
additions were made in the 19th century. Other signs of the Norman

There are so many hobbies that one can choose to make a meaningful
lifestyle. Most people choose their
hobbies based on some reasons. However,
there is simply no good reason to choose smoking as a hobby.
As a matter of fact, all the excuses given for taking up smoking and
for continuing it clearly reflect one’s weakness. For example, some people smoke because they
fear being criticized by peers. These
people believe that smoking is representative of one’s status. Others smoke to satisfy their curiosity, to
avoid boredom, or for pleasure. They
enjoy this bad habit and feel good doing it.
Conversely, there are many good reasons for not smoking. Choosing not to smoke not only benefits you
as an individual but also helps your surroundings to live in a healthier
environment.
It is widely known that tobacco smoke contains chemicals which are
poisonous and harmful to health.
It generates pollution and leaves the air dense with cancer-causing
toxins. Meanwhile, careless disposal of
burning cigarettes butts may cause fires which can destroy home and kill
people.
Before you decide to take up this habit, please remember that
smoking harms your spouse, children, friends and colleagues. The smoke inhaled by a non-smoker is likely
to cause him/her lung cancer, irritation of the eyes, asthma, heart disease and
coughing.
Since smoking offers no benefits, but plenty of harm to oneself and
one’s environment, giving up smoking is a wise thing to do. As for those who want to try it, think twice
before doing it because it is hard to quit this bad habit.

Human body is made up of countless millions of cells. Food is needed to build up new cells and
replace the worn out cell. However, the
food that we take must be changed into substances that can be carried in the
blood to the places where they are needed.
This process is called digestion.
The first digestive process takes places in the mouth. The food we eat is broken up into small
pieces by the action of teeth, mixed with saliva, a juice secreted by glands in
the mouth. Saliva contains digestive
juices which moisten the food, so it can be swallowed easily.
From the mouth, food passes through the esophagus (the food passage)
into the stomach. Here, the food is
mixed with the juices secreted by the cells in the stomach for several
hours. Then the food enters the small
intestine. All the time the muscular
walls of the intestine are squeezing, mixing and moving the food onwards.
In a few hours, the food changes into acids. These are soon absorbed by the villi
(microscopic branch projections from the intestine walls) and passed into the
bloodstream.
